Advocacy Updates - MASFMA & MTC Testify in Annapolis, MD

Just yesterday, Mid-Atlantic SFMA (MASFMA) Immediate Past President, Nicole Sherry and MASFMA member and Maryland Turfgrass Council (MTC) Vice President, Patrick Coakley, CSFM testified in front of the Maryland Senate Education, Energy and the Environment Committee at the hearing in Annapolis, MD in opposition of Senate Bill 158. As written, this bill has the potential to eliminate every product our industry uses on our sports fields and therefore, MASFMA and MTC had previously submitted a written formal letter of opposition against Senate Bill 158. Members of MASFMA and MTC also met with the sponsor of the bill this past Monday to voice concerns.

After the hearing, they had a chance to grab a photo with Senator Jason Gallion, Harford County.
