July 2023 Greeting from MASFMA President
Hello fellow Mid-Atlantic SFMA members!
I hope everyone is doing well. Another month down and now we are into the month of July! I want to thank all who attended the MASFMA Field Day last month. Even though it did rain, we had a solid turnout. Thank you again to our Board Member, CJ Lauer for the use of his beautiful facility.
Next month, MASFMA will host a Member/Sponsor Mixer at Camden Yards to cheer on the Baltimore Orioles as they take on the Toronto Blue Jays on August 23rd. In the past, MASFMA has hosted a separate Sponsorship Appreciation event to thank our amazing Sponsors for their support. This year, we’re updating that event to include our Members as one big social. As always, Members/Sponsors are FREE. Registration is required so that you can receive your game ticket. July tips:
Make sure your irrigation is running correctly if you have not already.
With the humidity starting to rise, keep your eyes out for disease pressure.
Those with Bermudagrass, now that we are starting to get heat, would not be a bad idea to spray a growth regulator.
For you and your workers, stay hydrated (drink plenty of dihydrogen monoxide) and if you feeling dizzy and sluggish, get inside to an air conditioned room and cool down.
