August 2023 Greeting from MASFMA President

Hello fellow Mid-Atlantic SFMA members!

August? Where has the time gone? It feels like I just wrote my January letter yesterday and now kids are getting ready to go back to school, football season is starting up, and we are starting to plan for fall applications of pesticides and fertilizer.

To all you warm season turf managers, soil temps are right for spring dead spot, according to the Green Cast app. To all you cool season managers, start purchasing your fall fertilizer.
