November 2023 Greeting from MASFMA President
Happy November, Mid-Atlantic SFMA!
Colder temperatures have settled in, and the heart of fall sports is upon us. That being said, now is the time to renew your Mid-Atlantic SFMA membership for the 2024 calendar year.
We are really starting to take a foot hold with our advocacy efforts. Board Members from MASFMA and MTC visited Annapolis last month to discuss the Synthetic Turf "Chain of Custody" Bill proposal. The purpose of this bill is to hold manufactures and/or contractors accountable for the proper and safe disposal of synthetic turf and infill.
With the holiday season upon us, please enjoy some quality time with your family and friends. I hope to see many of you at the MTC Conference in December and highlight February 28, 2024 in your calendar for the MASFMA Spring Education Event. We will have a couple of fantastic speakers from Rutgers University. Additional details to include the location of the event will be announced soon.
In the meantime, keep an eye on those temperatures, and don't forget to blow out your irrigation before it gets crazy cold. Best of luck and stay warm!
