MARCH 2024 GREETING FROM MASFMA PRESIDENT

Hello Mid-Atlantic SFMA,

Spring is here! I hoped everyone enjoyed the Spring Education Event at Camden Yards. I would love to
thank Nicole again for giving us that wonderful space to hold our educational event. I hope everyone
enjoyed the event. It was great to have the Secretary of Agriculture, Kevin Atticks at the event. We are

Now that we are gearing up for all our spring games, I want to remind everyone that March 1st is when
you can start fertilizing. Please make sure you get your soil sampled and follow the recommendations.
Also, remember your own health. Stay hydrated and take time for a metal break every now and then.
We all will be running around trying to make everything perfect for everyone to enjoy our fields, parks
and landscaping. Just remember you’re worth a break too!

Keep an eye on the website for our Field Day event. There will be some hats available for purchase on
the website and then you can pick them up at Field Day. Please feel free to reach out to anyone of us
Sports Field Managers if you just have a question or need another person to bounce ideas off. Enjoy!
