AUGUST 2024 GREETING FROM MASFMA PRESIDENT

Hello fellow Mid-Atlantic SFMA members!

Would like to welcome the month of August.  I know that just because its August doesn't mean summer is over, but it is on the down swing.  Back to school for the kids, football practices are starting up, fall is just around the corner.  Now I have looked at the 10-day forecast for this month, 90 degree plus is what I see for the first 10 days, so still summer temperatures.  Good time to start thinking about what fertilizer to put down on your cool season grasses for next month and getting them in your stockpile.  Would like to send out a reminder for everyone to sign-up for the Orioles game next month.  It has been a great time in past years and sure it will continue to be a blast!  Also, good time to start thinking about the National SFMA Conference!  Look into travel and hotel if you are able. Great networking opportunities!  Stay cool and enjoy the start of  Fall sports season!
