Mid-Atlantic Sports Field Management Association DMV MVP Award Nomination Information

The MASFMA DMV MVP award recognizes the accomplishments of sports field managers in
providing safe and playable conditions at any type of facility.  The award will be 
presented at the annual MASFMA Spring Education meeting.  The winner will receive a
field banner, press coverage, and a lunch for their crew.  The entry deadline is December 1st 
and the winner must be a MASFMA member in good standing.  Entries should be submitted via
the online form (preferred).  However, entries can also be submitted in a report format.
Both online and report format must contain the required information listed below.

Required fields include:

1. Name of field
2. Name of facility
3. Name of the field manager
4. Name(s) of staff
5. Nominator’s name (if different than the field manager)
6. Contact information including name, title, address, phone number and email
7. Type of field (i.e., baseball, football, multipurpose, etc.)
8. Skill level of athletes using field (i.e., professional, high school, community, etc.)
9. Age of field
10. Describe any recent field renovations
11. Number of events held on the field in the past year (an event is any field usage,
     including practices)
12. Include the types of events
13. Describe the soil composition (i.e., native soil, sand-based)
14. Describe the grass type (i.e., bluegrass, ryegrass, mix, etc.)
15. Describe the drainage system
16. Describe the method of field irrigation
17. Provide the yearly budget for the field
18. Outline the yearly maintenance program for the field
19. Explain why your field deserves to be recognized as a DMV MVP
20. Include color pictures (10 maximum) of the field from various angles
