Save the Date: 2026 Summer Field Day
Please save the date of June 10, 2026 for our upcoming Summer Field Day at the Maryland Soccerplex in Boyds, MD.  Additional details will be shared soon, but for now, mark your calendars and plan to join us for another great MASFMA gathering.

Spring Event Success at Fair Hill (March 5th)
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Spring Event at Fair Hill March 5th. The energy was high, and it was wonderful to see so many members, sponsors, speakers and guests connecting and enjoying the day together. Your participation is what makes these events so special.

Celebrating Excellence: DMV MVP Winner
Congratulations to John McDonogh School Stadium as the winner of the 2026 DMV MVP Sports Field of the Year.  The John McDonogh Stadium has hosted 40-50 events during the 2025 year for Football and Lacrosse games and practices. The stadium is managed by Mark Ross, Mike Heher and several staff.  Please join us in congratulating Mike and Mark on this well‑earned recognition.

Honoring Achievement: 2026 MASFMA Turfgrass Scholarship Award Winner
A warm congratulations goes out to Mason Tredinnick, our 2026 Scholarship Winner, who is continuing his academic journey at Virginia Tech. We’re thrilled to support his hard work and look forward to seeing what he will accomplish in the years ahead.

Welcome New MASFMA Board Members
We’re pleased to introduce and welcome our newest board members:

Sam Burris of Fairfax County Parks and Recreation as our new Secretary and,
Jason Jarvis of K&C Grounds as our Commercial representative. 

Their leadership, enthusiasm, and fresh perspectives will play an important role in guiding our organization forward.
