April Greeting from MASTMA President
Dear MASTMA Members,
Spring wishes as you are working hard to maintain your playing surfaces and grounds!
March was a busy month for MASTMA – thank you to those who joined us by participating in our Annual Spring Education Event and the Bloom Webinar! I hope you found the information valuable. The Board of Directors also completed a four-hour training seminar where we collectively discussed member engagement, our mission statement, and developed ideas for content that will propel MASTMA within the industry.
While the events of 2021 have been virtual thus far, MASTMA is proud to extend an invitation to our IN-PERSON Field Day scheduled for June 17th at Solomons Town Center Park in beautiful Calvert County, Maryland. As always, MASTMA events are FREE to our members and in addition to engaging with MASTMA sponsors, attendees will get to hear presentations regarding: Professional Development, Partnering with Athletic Directors, and the formal introduction of our MASTMA BMP – Click to REGISTER.
MASTMA continues to accept applications for the MVP of the DMV. All you need to do is fill out the application and submit by December 1st. Click for details HERE.
With a heavy heart and on behalf of the Board, thank you to Nicole Andrews, our Board Advisor, who will be stepping away from the industry and her role as MASTMA Advisor. Nicole was critical in getting MASTMA back up and running as an STMA chapter and as Advisor, she continued to be instrumental in helping MASTMA develop and grow to what it is today. To name a few of her accomplishments, Nicole was a driving force in developing our website, organizer of the Bring your Boots campaign, and a contributor to the soon-to-be-released MASTMA BMP. Thank you so much for your passion, Nicole and we wish you the best in your future endeavors!
