Dear MASTMA Members,
Welcome to May, the month of Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, pool openings, and warmer weather all while spring sports are in full motion!
MASTMA finished last month with a bang by releasing the MASTMA BMP, a valuable tool to utilize for a number of educational, government, and employment purposes. Speaking of the MASTMA BMP, I hope to see you at the MASTMA Field Day on June 17th at Solomons Town Center Park where members of the MASTMA BMP Committee will formally introduce the printed BMP and discuss next steps for how we can all utilize its content to advocate for our industry. In addition, Glori Hyman, Director of the Institute of Applied Agriculture at the University of Maryland, will provide a presentation and guide regarding professional development and networking. I, for one, am looking forward to seeing you in person!
