Dear MASTMA Members,
I hope everyone enjoyed America’s birthday over the July 4th holiday weekend!
Members and guests of MASTMA shared an amazing Field Day at Dunkirk District Park in Calvert County, Maryland a few weeks ago. Attendees got to hear talks from two great presenters, participate in amazing demonstrations, and receive value-added information from our sponsors.
Now that our printed MASTMA BMP is released, the MASTMA BMP Book Sale is officially underway. There have been 46 copies already sold! Get your MASTMA BMP Book for the promotional rate of $20.21 before the end of 2021.
Speaking of the MASTMA BMP, MASTMA Board Member, Geoffrey Rinehart will be hosting a BMP Workshop at the University of Maryland on August 19th (coffee and light breakfast to begin at 8:30am). Attendees will learn the overall content and how to utilize the BMP within their specific roles. As with all MASTMA events, the BMP Workshop is FREE for our members. Space will be limited to 50 attendees, so I encourage that you register sooner than later.
The MASTMA Board of Directors continues to work on future events, in-person and on-line. In September, MASTMA will be hosting a series of four professional development webinars (resume building, LinkedIn, interview/negotiating skills, and networking). Please stay tuned for additional information and the registration links later this summer.
With the dog days of summer upon us, MASTMA is here to support you with tips, feedback and whatever else you may need to make it a successful season in sports field maintenance.
