July Greeting from MASTMA President

Dear MASTMA,

I hope July is kicking off to a be a great month! I was very happy to see a lot of you at our MASTMA Field Day event in Calvert County a couple weeks ago. Thanks again to Dunkirk Regional Park and its parks department for being a great host; the bluemuda ball field looked incredible! Thank you also to Dr. Shovovesi and Mr. Mike Boekholder for being our speakers. The equipment demonstrations and booths hosted by our amazing sponsors made for a terrific day.

The MASTMA Outreach Committee are looking forward to attending the Maryland Association of Counties (MACo) Conference later this summer to represent the sports turfgrass industry and validate our commitment to the environment. The Committee recently met with the Maryland Turfgrass Council (MTC) to discuss lobbying efforts and extended an invitation to join forces in our continued work with Z&C as our industry lobbyist. On August 23rd we will be hosting a MASTMA Social at Camden Yards to watch the Orioles take on the Chicago White Sox it should be a fun evening at the ballpark, so bring your family. As always, MASTMA Members are free of charge (registration is required).
